Terry Ozell Suggs arrested

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Sometimes I see people on here whining and complaining about how we post up pictures of people we have arrested and how it’s embarrassing for them to be treated that way.

So before anyone goes on this post and makes a comment similar to that, let me be very clear…I was not elected to protect the feelings of criminals and our Deputies don’t put their lives on the line every day to protect someone’s little feelings either.

Our job is to protect our citizens, our children, and our community from criminals and drug dealers like this guy, Terry Ozell Suggs.

On Wednesday, members of our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at Suggs’ residence on Jackson Street in Cocoa, following an investigation into his illicit drug activities.

Now keep in mind that Suggs should not even be out on our streets where he can peddle his poison, as he has a very lengthy and violent criminal history, consisting of approximately 70 felony charges, 38 misdemeanor charges, 17 felony convictions and 17 misdemeanor convictions.

That’s right, this violent repeat, and then keep repeating over and over again, offender has been charged with over 100 crimes and has 17 felony convictions and 17 misdemeanor convictions.

Can someone please tell me how this individual is still out on our streets where he can just keep violating the law and basically making a mockery of our criminal justice system and quite frankly, laughing in the face of those who didn’t sentence him to prison where he should be.

Suggs’ arrests date back to 1987 and include but are not limited to: Aggravated Battery LEO, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Violation of Probation, Possession of Cocaine, Sale of Cocaine, and numerous other crimes.

So basically he has pretty much committed just about every crime known to man and here we are serving a search warrant at his house for his drug supply.

And if that is not bad enough, when the SWAT team began executing the search warrant this morning, the big bad brave criminal ran like a coward out the back door, and after a brief foot chase he got to ride the lightening when several members of the Special Investigations Unit chased him on foot and then tased him.

During a subsequent search of the premises, an overwhelming amount of narcotics were found along with two handguns, a rifle magazine, and various amounts of ammunition.

Seized from inside the apartment were:
– 87.1 grams cocaine base
– 33.3 grams cocaine HCL
– 197 grams methamphetamine
– 25.1 grams fentanyl
– 56.6 grams MDMA
– 14.1 grams ecstasy
– 23.4 grams alprazolam
– 92.2 grams MDPV

That’s enough fentanyl to kill 12,550 people if put into a lethal dose, but hey I guess the criminal justice system will just keep letting him out of jail until he kills someone with this poison.

As a result of the investigation by our Agents and the execution of the search warrant this morning, Suggs was arrested and taken to “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge” on a “No Bond” status for:

– Resisting Arrest Without Violence
– Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
– Trafficking in Fentanyl
– Trafficking in Cocaine
– Trafficking in Methamphetamine
– Trafficking in MDMA
– Trafficking in MDPV
Rent. Lease, Own Property for Trafficking
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Possession of Controlled Substance (5 Counts)

A huge thank you to our Agents, SWAT Team members, and Crime Scene Unit for all they did to bring this clown to justice yet once again.

I am so proud of our team and all they do to protect this community as they put their lives on the line each and every day.

You know, they say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome, yet here we are arresting this violent repeat offender once again.

Crap like this is beyond insanity, it’s sickening to think that we allow this guy to be out on our streets where he can continue to put lives at risk.

For now he is right where he belongs…locked behind bars and quite frankly where he should have been all along.
